This Privacy Policy explains how EarthyGreen Eco (Pvt) Ltd, operator of the Vision R mobile application and platform (collectively, the "Platform"), collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of the data you entrust to us.
1. Acceptance of Policy
By accessing or using the Vision R Platform, you signify your acceptance of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Policy, please do not use the Platform.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information based on your user category (Domestic User, Student, Merchant, Waste Collector, Service Provider) and your interaction with our Services.
2.1. Information Provided Directly by You
- Registration Data: Name, date of birth, postal address, email address, phone number, and password.
- Verification Data (For Financial Users): National Identity Card (NIC) number, business registration details, tax identification, and bank account information (required for processing payouts and withdrawals).
- Student/Minor Data: Name, student ID (if applicable), and contact information of the Parent/Guardian providing consent.
- Communication Data: Information provided when contacting customer support, submitting surveys, or participating in promotions.
2.2. Information Collected Automatically
- Location Data: We collect precise or approximate location data from your device when the Vision R App is running in the foreground or background to enable core functions:
- Domestic Users: To schedule accurate waste pickup coordinates and find nearby Merchant Partners.
- Waste Collectors/Service Providers: To track trip progress, route optimization, and verify service delivery.
- Usage and Device Data: IP address, device model, operating system, network information, access dates and times, features used, and crash data.
- Cookies and Tracking Technologies: We use cookies and similar technologies (like web beacons) to authenticate your access, remember your preferences, and analyse platform usage.
2.3. Information Created During Use of Our Services
- Financial Data: Transaction records, wallet balances (LKR cash and Eco-Points), withdrawal history, and platform commission charges.
- Service Data: Details of waste collected (type and quantity/KG), service job specifications (e.g., painting dimensions), booking history, and Merchant discount redemptions.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following primary purposes:
3.1. Provision of Services and Contractual Obligations
- To create and manage your account across the relevant user categories (DU, Student, Merchant, etc.).
- To match Domestic Users with Waste Collectors and Service Providers.
- To process, track, and verify service completion and waste collection records.
- To manage the Vision R Wallet, process card payments, initiate withdrawals to Guardian/User bank accounts, and settle payments to Merchants/Service Providers.
3.2. Safety, Security, and Compliance
- To implement and verify Know-Your-Customer (KYC) requirements for all financial users and guardians, as required by law.
- To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, unauthorized use, and illegal activity on the Platform.
- To resolve disputes related to transactions and service delivery (e.g., verifying location tracking during a job).
3.3. Communication and Marketing
- To send you necessary service updates, transactional receipts, and technical notices.
- To send promotional communications and targeted offers regarding Merchant discounts and new services, based on your usage data (you may opt out of marketing communications).
3.4. Research and Development
- To perform analytics and research to improve the functionality, reliability, and security of the Platform and develop new services.
- To track and report on environmental impact (e.g., total KG of waste collected).
4. Sharing and Disclosure of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only as necessary to provide our Services or as required by law:
4.1. Sharing Between Users
- Domestic User (DU) Data is shared with: The Waste Collector (name, pickup address, phone number) for collection. The Service Provider (name, address, service request details, phone number) for job execution.
- Waste Collector/Service Provider Data is shared with: The DU (name, profile picture, contact number, vehicle details/business ID) for verification and coordination.
4.2. Third-Party Service Providers
We share data with vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as:
- Payment processors (for card transactions).
- Data storage and hosting providers.
- Marketing and communication service providers.
4.3. Legal Compliance and Law Enforcement
We may disclose your personal information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental regulation, including disclosures to the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) or law enforcement agencies.
5. Data Security and Retention
5.1. Security Measures
We implement industry-standard security measures, including encryption, firewalls, and secure socket layer (SSL) technology, to protect your data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. However, no internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure.
5.2. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with services. We retain financial and transaction data for a minimum of 7 years to comply with financial and tax regulations in Sri Lanka, even after you close your account.
6. Rights and Choices
- Access and Correction: You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and request corrections to any inaccuracies via the settings section of the App or by contacting us.
- Marketing Opt-Out: You can opt out of receiving promotional emails from us by following the unsubscribe instructions included in those emails.
- Location Services: You may disable the Platform's ability to obtain location information from your device, but this may render core matching and service verification features unusable.
7. Policy for Student Users (Minors)
7.1. Data Collection for Minors
We collect personal information from Student Users (minors) solely for the purpose of their participation in educational and community programs and tracking Eco-Points earned.
7.2. Mandatory Guardian Consent
As stated in our Terms and Conditions, all data processing relating to a Student User is contingent upon the verifiable consent of their Parent or Legal Guardian, who is deemed the primary party responsible for the Student User's account and data.
7.3. Financial Data (Minors)
We do not collect or store the bank account details of minors. The withdrawal of convertible Eco-Points is strictly processed to the Guardian’s verified bank account only.
8. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated Policy on the Platform and revising the "Last Updated" date.
